1. Coming Back
2. Time Pass
3. Sol de la Media Noche
4. Compress
5. Mysterious Radioactive Chemicals
6. Game Cat
7. Bar-Cochva
8. Ta. Basilikum
9. Green Dog

Full on is not really my style of trance, but when it comes to Doof, I certainly make an exception.
Doof have some very unique sounds, that are all characterized by psychedelic underground. Not everybody connects to these sounds as they are not catchy or cheesy. You have to make an effort to understand.
This second album by Shahar Zirkin is groovier, less dripping with acid, and yet with very nightish sounds. Most of the album is suitable for night dancefloor with strong kicking baseline. You can clearly hear a set is being build through the whole album. Starting from slow and moving towards a digging dark music.
Green cover is perfect – looks as if the lions were drawn by children.

This is an album I find myself listening more and more. Find it hard to get it out of my c.d player.

Favorites: #3, #5 #7 and #8

What does Zirkin has with dogs?????
on the first album it was a Danish dog.... now it's a green dog.....

Well, anyhow there was more than few good moments on his first one...
Hope i'll be able to test some of his new tunes in the next Doof party....

I’ve been waiting for this release and finally got it before the weekend and couldn’t let it leave my cd player since.
The best thing about this cd is that it’s a killer, dark dance floor cd on one hand and at the same time a beautiful listening cd for home. I found myself lying stoned on my bed and tripping through the music, the inner layers are so complex and full of detail, and the whole cd flows as one story.
First track is dirty and groovy; I like the mosquito buzzing around towards the end.
The second is an acid night track made with bonky and you can feel his influence, great dance floor track.
Third one is sol de la media noche, allot of people are going to relate to this one, catchy rolling baseline that really makes you move.
Number 4 is an evil night track, very intense, and a bit spooky. Goooood.
Still dark with 5, very good percussion and sound work.
Six starts with a story and kicks in with a super baseline that I want to hear on a big system, this one is the most psychedelic in the album.
Back to groove with 7, this track was already released but I noticed the sound is better here, loved it on triund and love it now.
No.8 is a funny acid groove track, deep baseline that makes you bounce.
Last track is green dog, some kind of acid-raga-oriental track, very original, and I think I recognize the text from zelazny- deep. Beautiful ending for a beautiful album.

In short, doof did it again and even better this time. If I have to point out favorites, I’ll go for the darker stuff- 2,4,5 & 6

what a contrast between the sweet cover and the musical content.
I LOVE HIS SOUNDS
untill now i heard zirkin play 3 dj sets which i really liked so i decided to try his cd and got one of this years best surprises. i don't know how to categorize his style but its hypnotic. minimal but full of layers and subtext, and yes eben this is indeed some text from roger zelazny on track 9, from the amber series. somehow i'm not surprised zirkin is reading thaose things. they say zeazny was strong on acid when he wrote that series.

Indeed a very fine cd, this Zirkin is getting very good in this.
I try to define his style but I don’t know anything like it.
It is not full on but it is definitely full on. Very trippy that’s for sure.
This game cat track (no. 6) took me by surprise , what was this guy on?
No. 5 is juicy and wicked.
Anyhow I agree with all u guys it’s a masterpiece

there is no such thing inteligent music.
just like there is no good or bad.
saying this is inteligent is like saying other stuff is NOT. and this is disrespectfull.
its all about taste and nothing more...
i feel like a broken record.

as i was a bit sleepless tonight i decided to see how we were looking out here and just wanted to thank all you trippers for the good feedback. i followed the creation of this album from the firs beat so i can't say i'm very objective, but that doesnt change the fact that this is one of my favorite albums, and there is much more to it than can be discovered with first listening. take your time and read between the lines.
thanks and get ready for JAM.
