very nice zapotec!
Your overall style is far away from what one would expect to hear.
The synthesis you did is good nothing special yet, but i hear a good and interesting shape you're looking for.
I personally would give the kick a bit more overtones, maybe layering anotherone on top but band or highpass so that you get a bit more tick in the kick.
And for doing a bit more work on the ... "tension bow" i would reccomend to introduce the new bar loops.
For example when you bring in a new element, without doing a break, you might wanna introduce that sound by doing something with an other element or with the element you want to bring in, but with some kind of fading in or putting a lot of reverb and play that backwords,... stuff like that.
