I love tabla beat science, and I recently discovered "Remember Shakti" which is collaboration between Zakir & other indian percussionists with this jazz guitarist guy.

my question is, are there any other interesting collaborations or projects that Zakir has been involved with? He seems like he's down with some coooool music

interesting! posted tabla beat science in the other section...
awesome... love his music... anyone exactly explain the breakup of how beats are exactly counted? it seems very complex....
he actually keeps talking about how he's actually breaking the beats up when he performs...           all roads lead Om

when I saw him it was not mahavishnu orchestra (saw them also ) but Shakti .Exactly like the videos about my first post here.
It was like enlightened spirits creating spiritual music on a higher level.
Probably the most impressive accoustic performance I ever expirienced.
And when it comes to music I think I saw a bit of real good musicians along the years.
