I love tabla beat science, and I recently discovered "Remember Shakti" which is collaboration between Zakir & other indian percussionists with this jazz guitarist guy.
my question is, are there any other interesting collaborations or projects that Zakir has been involved with? He seems like he's down with some coooool music |

zakir hussain true master of his art
he had many collaborations
ravi shankar.....(famous sitar player and great musician)
anoushka shankar......ravi's doughter if im not mistaken
shiv kumar
yahudi manuhin.......violin player from israel
and many more
just type Zakir Hussain in youtube.....you will find many good videos

vector_o if u liked 'Remember Shakti', den check our zakhirs first band 'Shakti' with John McLaughlin, they played sweet sounding acoustic fusion with is major element being jazz.....
my dad used to hear it and dats how i fell in love wid dem.....
check n see if u can find ne of their tunes 
music for da soul i call it .....
'Shakti' created a stir surly back den in da 70's.....
think dey came out wid only 2 albums... ones a live recording wid john and his strings..... will get back to me dad and give u more info

awesome... love his music... anyone exactly explain the breakup of how beats are exactly counted? it seems very complex....
he actually keeps talking about how he's actually breaking the beats up when he performs...
