Am i the only one to use this great VST and to find that it eats the sh%$ out of my CPU?
I have AMD1800, 512Mb Ram, New 7200 RPM with 8Mb Cache HD and still got beaten by 3 Z3ta instruments.
Any suggestions?           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

Hi bro i have the same problem
the point of Z3ta or Z3ta+ is that it was designed for Mac and not for Pc.
it is a very powerful tool but it overloads the cpu the mem - whatever you want...
you are not alone........

Z3ta+ is from RGC audio. All of their products were never designed for mac and can't run on mac.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

Hi pavel , i'm also a Z3ta+ user , great vst ... any way , i have Intel2400 , and 512 ram , and was able to use 6 - 7 Z3ta+ channels till it started messing up my cpu ... but now i can only use 3-4 ... any way i'm looking for a fix to this problem , so if any one knows , i would be happy to know to

Peace out ...

Well you can always reduce the polyphony without altering the quality of the sound you're getting. Also, it's better to route the z3ta+ track to an FX channel instead of using the built-in FX. These are the ones that eat all the CPU.

zeta+ is killer plugin, i think its more powerfull than some expensive synths, but yes is true what u say about cpu usage...

what i do is open a new file and work the synth there then export as wav... u can add several fx to ur synths also and still hear the your track playing ok with much less cpu usage.... i hope this may be usefull for u man... cya

I don't understand you guys - I have an AMD running at 1.4GHz, I never had any problems with the zeta+ - on the contrary. Of course - a different solution to this would be using similar plugins with a different sound for different things (Linplug&Ron Papen's Albino is very similar in it's structure to the zeta+, and is better for bass and a few other types of sounds for instance).

About the drum instruments - zeta+ is NOT a good thing for generating percussion. Stick to samples when it comes to that as there aren't too many worthwhile software generators for this, and all of them use much more CPU than a sampler.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

I seem to have had the same problem, i was running up to 8 seperate instances of z3ta+ and the effects built within the program and that was on a P4 2.6Mhz before it crashed constantly. But I was also running version 1.0, now that I've upgraded to version 1.2 (or 1.3) can't remember, it seems to solve all the problems, due to it being very cpu intenstive the new upgrade seems to have solved this problem, also aload of new features have been added, included stereo filters. Another way to reduced the cpu load is to use the osc in normal mode as opposed to 'multi' mode.

most of the vsts that have built in FX are cpu eaters, close all the FX in the vst and use some FX on the sends channels.
