Dragonfly Records proudly presents a richly anticipated new album from Youth. This collection is the latest in a string of new millennium solo releases from the legendary award-winning producer and head of Dragonfly, Liquid Sound and Kamaflage Records.
Calibrate Your Intuition heralds a spirited return to Youth's former playground of dance music and follows the very successful release of Hard Psy-Trance compilation Suicide, out in Japan since July & in UK in early September. This album further expands on the bass-driven themes of 2 Youth In Dub albums, and the eastern promise of The Kumba Mela Experiment. This album is sure to be equally as sought-after by hardened dance fans as it is by the eclectic music listener.
Now Youth's back and on fire with an awesome solo album weaving collaborations with more experienced artists together with the freshest faces on the scene. Youth's history of working & producing with 90's dance acts such as Yazz, The Orb & Blue Pearl have fuelled a passion for dance music which culminates in this release, Youth's first solo electronic dance music album.
This album is a feast for the senses, combining Youth's trade-mark experimental fusions of progressive, world, beats & rock influences. Funky dub laden grooves, masterfully mixed by The Antidote in Invisible Moment contrast with the TEMA remix, featuring the exquisite Flamenco Guitars of Dominique LeVack's Jalal Chckara Orchestra, accelerating smoothly to hypnotic full-paced classics – Youth's own crunchers, bursting with lavish guitar sounds, the mighty Acid Psy-Trance collaboration with Russell Davies of Abakus and underground Wingmakers master DJ Pogo's Systems Ready, masterfully re-tweaked by Youth.
During 2005 Youth has been promoting & previewing his new material internationally to a massive response. Headlining sets, DJing at Japan's Glastonbury Equivalent, Fuji Rock, in Italy at the Sonica electronic music festival, as well as at a full circuit of UK events from Glastonbury to The Glade over the summer.
