i believe its going like this "anybody want some LSD? I got all the makings right here...all i need is a place to cook"

indeed that's the line, and is already used in CPUs "Haight Street Freak", so no need to put it again in another track           .

Happy Gilmore is one of my favourite films EVER. If I heard a track with that sample in at a party I don't think I'd stop laughing. Or anything from that film, for that matter!

I think you've got to be really careful with the samples you use, what sounds good when you hear it a couple of times can soon sound cheesy after 10 times. I hate it when you hear too many gratuitous drug references in tracks.

I always wanted to hear "You think you're big time? You're gonna FUCKIN' DIE, BIG TIME!" from Carlito's Way in a track. But that's just me. I like the dark stuff.           "One nation under a groove".

why not get a bit more obscure and delve into the b-movies and rarities, broadcasts and cancelled tv shows, books-on-tape and interviews, etc? Show some taste and creativity...

This is the way

In (fresh) example.. Blowfish have made an amazing work in collecting spoken words samples for their album !           .

Iv'e used samples from "John DeFool" with, imho, good results. I have a lot of audio books I'd like to sample, and if I can get hold of Greg Egan's "Quarantine" I could make a whole album with the samples

Iv'e also used something from "Dr. Moreau's Island" or whatever the title of the film was. And something from a documentary about sex, I think. Basically, the more obscure, the better. It's amazing how things, once theyr'e taken out of their context, can be given quite a different meaning. It's an eye of the beholder thing.

A little less obscure would be StarTrek Voyager, there's one episode I saw recently that has a few things I'd like to use. But I'm not telling

And I'd like for some voice in the style of 50's documentaries read the symptoms for schizophrenia. PPS Projects track "Katatonic" sends shivers down me spine for doing something similar.

Also, bit's and pieces from poetry can do wonders. If it's not of the "roses are red" variety...
