Would love to know about your opinion of this monitors, especially the B2030A. Bought them like 5 years ago, as they were recommended as a good deal for the price. But more and more I get the feeling they do not represent the true outcome of the sound?

they are good for the price but for that price you cannot expect monitors that translate very good. why would there be more expensive monitors than? a friend of me made several well prodduced albums on behringers, he knew them. its much nicer (and in the beginning much faster) to work with higher quality speakers but if you´re limited with cash and have the drive to do the needed work (playing your mix that was made on the B´s on other systems, fixing, try again, etc.. ) at the end you know them and can use them to make good mixes. spend 3 times what you spend on behringers and real monitoring can start. |

My first set was the passive ones. Was pretty happy with them, but well, I was comming from standard hi-fi amp and speakers, so it was a huge improvement.
Now I have the KRK Rokit6", which again was a major improvement. And not too expensive. 
I would say it all depends on your ambitions, studio treatment and money.
If you just want to mess around and have som fun, then it would be a waste spending 800 euro.
If you have a really bad room for studio, then you will not get the optimal effect from top-grade monitors.

I used to own them but the sound in not very accurate. I made a huge step in mixing as i changed over to adam a7. I wouldn`t recommend them. They are pretty loud for that price. That might be the only advantage.

I still own them, as to mixing, I also have a good 12 inch sub which translates the low frequencies, my room is not treated, I know the speakers and their limitations, especially the mid range, I compensate with sennheiser hd 280 headphones and it does seem to work well, I think it is not only about a speaker, it is also how well you know it. If I did not have a sub, I wouD not be satisfied, but with it and my headphones it seems to work out

Had a friend with them, but the acoustics were terrible and that was long ago when I still didn't recognize the importance of acoustic treatment. So they are forever etched in my mind as "crap", but maybe it's not that bad.
Have you treated your room acoustically yet?

i think they are a ripp of of the mackie lol, never mixed on them but i have 1 friend using the first model and he get good result since years he use them |
