What was the first ever music software you have ever used, and when was it?
About me, I tried the Dance Machine in 98 I think, but its not such a real musicmaker product. So I assume my first was the legenary Impulse Tracker 2.14 in 1999!
I learned so much from it back in those days
have a nice day

Protracker on amiga, I think it was in 95. Didn't take long before I was kickin' it in Fast Tracker II on pc though.
My first 303 emu; the gb303 I think it was called. Emulator made for dos, only worked with gravis ultrasound.

Impulse tracker! It rocked indeed... Then years went by without much production and only on a mc505 + microkorg, now FL and happy with it. |

if i remember right it was the sequencer "twenty-four" on an atari back in 1992 or so. later i used a tracker, too, and then i bought cubasis for pc (without audio, just midi) before i had to use the build-in sequencers of my keyboards (like yamaha b200 or psr 680). thats kinda software too, isn't it? ;-) does anyone rememer those things? "from 1 to 8 copy to 9" ? *gg*

i started with fruity 2.0 (it was just released), orangator, stomper, sayit, cooledit and scratchii and does anybody know massiva? It was a free sequencer at the time... I don't know which one of these i started up first, but that was my first software setup... ) |
