They've released what, like 10 albums? Personally I own only one, but am sure as hell planning to get some more. It took me this freaking long to realize just how brilliant they are
Any recommendations?

This record is one of my all time favourites!!
Best track = "Bodystealers"
Eat Static & Ozrics Tentacles are the reason why I got involved in this scene..

What would be the most similar to Crash And Burn?

This is interesting. I have been playing quite a bit of Eat Static recently and do enjoy their sound, though I must admit I did go off some of their more experimental stuff since the great days of Implant and Abduction. I have:
- Abduction - great old school sounds, you do hear some of it in chill outs
- Implant - again nice older sound, definately early psy trance moments on this.
- EPSYLON ep - Lovely EP, highly recommended, lovely indian psy/drum and space track 'Dionsyac' and absolutely gorgeous 4x4 version of Uforic Undulance (amazing chill track at end of Implant)
- B-World, total live madness spanning gigs from 97-98. I see OTT is credit for editing in sleeve notes This really gives a great representation of their energy from their live shows. I remember when I saw them back in '94 when they had a huge brain in stage covered in electrical circuitory!!! Amazing.
Some of the tracks are a tad fast and techno ish for my liking these days, but amusing listening if you were there and want to reminise.
- In The Nude! Has some great moments, from the chilled groove of 'Salon Kitty' another track you hear regularly in chill-outs over here. Much more experimental than earlier stuff, but I still enjoy it.. More varied I suppose than earlier stuff, not so techno/psy.
-Bony Incus ep, nice trance stuff, has a MWNN remix.
-Hybrid ep, (vinyl) which has an Infinity Project remix
Happy hunting, I think you can get most of it from their website, you know the one with the silly game !!

for me it was most definitely "Abduction"!
it was this sound that actually got me into trance! i saw an Ozric gig in Amsterdam in 93 at the Paradiso, and Eat Static were playing after ... wowwowwowwowwowwowwowwowwowwow
i have to say that it was a turning point in my (musical) life for sure!!
i do enjoy all their music... very original and always slightly ahead of their time i reckon!

sorry, I gave no favourite! Would have to be Implant, because it has such variety and a really crisp sound. Some really great sci-fi samples that add some atmosphere and humour.

I'll have to agree with kolladetregnar, and give my vote to "Science of the Gods".
This is still fresh music.
