 oh yes Ernst Fuchs is amazing. Have also had the pleasure of being at exhibitions of Robert Venosa, Martina Hoffman & Marc Henson, will never forget the experience. That's stuff of legend, introducing one master to another.
Adding to this one of the most amazing psychedelic tapestry artists: Felix Stoever. http://www.felix-stoever.de/ he passed on in 2010 much to our loss.

@3Delica. Gaudi is one of the psychedelic masters. definitely relevant. If I'm not mistaken he also painted and did a lot of mosaic work.

@pete, don't know how Luigi Serafini hadn't been mentioned yet. The codex was genius, still go back to it now and again and there's always something new to discover.
Only recently introduced it to my painter brother who in turn introduced me to this amazing Japanese artist from the 1800s called Tsukioka Yoshitoshi.
Just look how futuristic his work is...
