Seems like the dark style has taken over.. Hope it will be only a breath in time, hope the mexicans will remember the groove.... |

I really hope not  ... And sorry girl but the groove in mexico its almost gone, it only exists cuz of the nice proggy parties, other than that the groove is dead

I like sweet far out extra groovy vibes.
Soulful, psychedelic, connected with the tribal funky good drum, freeeeeeeeee and liberated, vibrant, fresh, with la buena vibra that is good for all.
You want to hear the good vibes in the music. Like they are going for the good shit, for the good good most groovy most psychedelic and most free road. ALllll the wayyyyyy like a real mushroom faery returning home.
And life and nature is so intricate, and can be so exquisite and so mind blowing in diversity of ideas that I also like music that knows how to feed from everything so its not stuck on some style but living the pleasure of dressing up with some of the wonders we see in this world. Scarlet macaws, ocean waves rolling, ancient rainforests, fantastic blue morpho butterflies, cactus mandalas, dancing baobab trees.
To open our eyes and feed from natures rich display to inspire amazing music.
And I get tired of a lot of the full on, can be fun for a few listens but after a while it seems a bit plastic and dull. Depends from track to track. Also I can't get very much into the dark stuff that is very popular lately, sometimes its the muddy bass of some tracks, but also I don't know feel the moods it invokes are very interesting to me. And I do enjoy a few progressive tracks. But my best examples of the style I love is the old Goa music, it was like they were playing the music of my dreams.
Also I have heard a lot of music from all genres, from Classical music to Indian music such as Sakir Hussain Or perubian rythms,or guitars like paco de lucia, Jimi Hendrix or electronica like Massive Attack or the funky cypress hill crew. I can appreciate good mainstream singers like Aretha Franklin or powerful bands like pink floyd. I like to be open so I can get the pleasure of it all. So just any shitty trance simply wont do, because then there is much better music elsewhere.
I want to hear music. Not just weird sounds bashing my head, hey I can also get crazy with the sound of my washing machine, but its tiring after a while. You want attitudes out of the way, and instead real mature talent with a true connection to some great feelings or magical dimensions. Real music that moves you. Not just melodies or sounds that are like trends to hear. In the end I want music that feels good, and which I don't listen for some anti culture attitude I have. I want to go beyond that and actually try and find genuine good music without prejudices. So I like to be open to all genres and styles if I can.
But really good music has been done before in the past.
For example, go back to the classicals and listen to some Mozart pieces, the guy is just like everyone says: a freaking genius. His music is fulll of feeling, love, mysteri. SOme pieces when you make an effort to LISTEN closely will simply blow your mind. Ssooooo sublte sometimes. His music is sooo creative, and sooo sophisticated.. and so natural. The beauty of his musical harmonies, how he is mixing all the complex layers of instruments, and he can be dark and beautiful at the same time, complicated and yet soo simple. And of course he also has a lot of tracks that are kind of boring.. but artists like him set a very high fucking standard. One which psy trance should not forget. Sure we have great music in psy trance but not always, so I suggest we see the big picture, because at the end its all connected.
Some of my fav trance and ambient artists:
Prometheus, Prana, Hallucinogen, Shulman, Bluetech, Tristan, Total Eclipse, OTT, Rinkadink, Utopia, old x-dream, orichalcum, koxbox, entheogenic, green nuns of the revolution and I am exploring a lot of new stuff now that I still can't form a good judgement about yet.
