hey guys, i have never been to a big festival like voov or fullmoon ... actually ive been to a festival only in Bulgaria.
Thats why it is quite curious for me to understand how does it feel to go to such an event , i mean the whole experience cannot be described only by the time u spent at the festival , but the trip to the festival location and all the experiences that accompanied this trip.so i am curious :

1.how do you prepare for the festival , i mean do you take a lot of luggage with you
(i mean 7 day festivals)

2.do you need a certain psychological setting before leaving home lookin forward for the awesome experince waiting for you at the festival ?

3.i am also curious how do all the people behave... im pretty sure that all of them are cool and friendly people

4.when i was watching some clips of festivals there was a big monster on one of the clips and a friend of mine asked me if you aint gonna have a bad trip seeing these `creatures`

5.i was also wondering if you are able to talk with the djs when they are just hangin around not playing ... i mean are they reachable ?

6.how high is the volume there? i mean if i go to some 100 meters from the main stage is there gonna be enough music ?

i would be glad to have these questions answered and my curiosity satisfied :]

1. Yes u need a lot of stuff, at least me, tents, water, food, chairs, the more stuff u have to feel comfortable the nicer it will be

2. i don't know

3. Not all people are nice at these big festival, it would be cool, but at festivals like voov are a lot of maniacs

4. bad trip - good trip - it can change fast, no ying without yang

5. sure

6. if u go 1000m from the main stage, u will still hear the music almost clear            Signature

And don't see it in this way, just go to a festival and u will see how it is and what will happen, there is always happen lot of stuff

Point 1 : take all what u can imagine with u, it is like holidays, better to much stuff with u than to less            Signature

you're asking yourself way too many questions.

just enjoy the trip however it unravels before your eyes and no worries.

most of the Q's have been answered but let me elaborate on a couple:

1. no car? then be a 'parasite' just take the basic living crap (tent, water, sleeping bag) and live off all the other crap ur mates will take i.e. hammock, chairs, beach umbrelas etc...

2. bad trips... ull always have them, take them as a good trip and ull be fine

1.how do you prepare for the festival , i mean do you take a lot of luggage with you
(i mean 7 day festivals)

tent, sleeping back, lots of underwear and t-shirts.. something warm to wear too.. sandals and normal shoes.. etc etc

2.do you need a certain psychological setting before leaving home lookin forward for the awesome experince waiting for you at the festival ?

yes you have to say shanti 10000 times in a row, otherwise it'll suck

3.i am also curious how do all the people behave... im pretty sure that all of them are cool and friendly people

if it's a big event there'll be some retards there too..

4.when i was watching some clips of festivals there was a big monster on one of the clips and a friend of mine asked me if you aint gonna have a bad trip seeing these `creatures`

drink booze instead ..

5.i was also wondering if you are able to talk with the djs when they are just hangin around not playing ... i mean are they reachable ?

yes they are, but imo it's very impolite to grab em from the sleeve or something if you're like half mad/twisted/fucked at the time.. scares the shit out of them i guess..

6.how high is the volume there? i mean if i go to some 100 meters from the main stage is there gonna be enough music ?

depends and having those earplug thingies with you never hurt anyone..

as for luggage, this is what you need:

inflatable mattress (very important to treat your back well)
money (eating, taking drugs if you do, buying art, etc)
earplugs (for when you want to sleep)
flip flops (you dont want to ruin your sneakers/shoes)
small snacks (if you only buy food in the little stores, youīre going to spend too much money.. so take some fruits with you, some bread, some cake, whatever, for when you got the īmunchiesī, and try to eat in the little stores only the big meals)

and not much clothes... and neither your best clothes.. they will probably get dirty.. be functional: something for hot, something for cold, something for rain, something for jumping in a pool/lake/beach/waterfall...

appart from that, just enjoy.. and meet a lot of people.. most people there are very open to meeting other people..

btw.. about the djs.. Just be polite, you know? dont go annoying them, following them around, saying: omg that was killaaaaaaah!!!!

remember they are also people, and talk normally

just relax, act like yourself and the rest will just flow

1.ok i will take care for the bulletproof vest, its not that hard to find, i will see what i can do about the lifebelt
2.what about if i say 10001 times shanti , would it be even better ?
3.i will do my best not to communicate with such ppl
4.thank you but i dont like drinking :] i prefer going
to a festival without even smokin a joint rather than gettin drunk like a pig :>
5.i never meant to go to a dj and tell him/her some crazy stuff, i just wanna talk like normal ppl if thats possible
6.the music will be loud :] maybe even louder than i can imagine

A festival is a gathering of people who are into the same things in our case that's trance music but what makes trance festivlas special in my opinion (apart from the music which is the most important thing)is the fact that for the time being at the festival everyone is equal and most of the things you dislike in your normal life will net be found in trance festivals (or just a little) such as angryness - jeolousy - greediness - ego blasters etc...
and obviously the feeling of dancing with 5 or 10,000 people is beautiful.

just bring a tend.... donīt forget some matress and pillow, cuz u arenīt going to sleep a lot, so when u do it, make sure u are the most comfortable u can be.
Bring easy food. U donīt want to spend time cooking, plus play with fire on a festival isnīt a very good idea!
Donīt bring extra clothes, but bring necessary to wear during the festival.. Remember that u wont have facilities to wash them, so bring enough for each day.
Donīt think a lot about this. last festival i went i decided going one day before, so just pack and have lots of fun...
PS: also donīt bring valuable stuff... U donīt want to lose them... and keep ur money with u during the festival!! ;-)

Simple.. take money so if you have left something behind you can buy it later on... take comfy clothes ad something comfy to rest in... if you are taking drugs just be careful... take some earplugs, even if you don;t think you'll use them you'll be surprised... I'm sure most dj's and artits if they are hanging around will talk to you, this is psytrance, not Monster of Rock or Ozzfest... and always have agood time all the time... I find the best things is to go and forget who you are day to day and enjoy the trip wherever it takes you
