I believe last time I did a count it was around 300-400CDs and around 300 12"s
I will mostly buy stuff if its 25-50% off now, or if I have a booking I will listen to a lot of stuff and then buy the CDs with the tracks I need.
Lately Ive begun BUYING 320kbps mp3s as well, as an alternative to vinyl. Also, I normaly just like 1 track pr CD release, so its much cheaper to buy the one track.
Having CDs lying around / having the physical media in my hand means NADA to me, its just annoying since it adds to the overall mess @ home.

YESS man, you go out there and get every single release and your knowledge of psy will be unmatched.
rrr sometimes i hate having so many CDs. they take up so much space that i have them all over the place. And it's not only psy. But when it comes time to get rid of some CDs to make space for new ones, you can't allow yourself to do it. And think about it, what use is a crate full of CDs sitting under your bed or something like that? But than, I'm glad i never started collecting vynil  |

hmmm, ever since i started spinning as a dj, i only get original cd/records.
cds
original: ~400
original copied: ~350
mp3s: 200 x 50 tracks (this dates back from audiogalaxy and napster times, the good ol classics)
personally i found my style and taste in music, it's a passion i invest money into and i think it serves a good cause
btw, all cds are psytrance, progressive, chillout or something similar related

I don't have a case, so whenever I go spin at a party I bring around 50 CDs on their original jewel case... hehehe...
Can someone please recommend me a good case? What makes a case good?

SLAPPA ALL THE WAY!!! the best case available. the protection it provides for ur cds is unparralell. its a bit expensive but worth the money.
trust me full_on i know as a fellow collector how much u value ur collection and the proper care it requires since we (the minortity) spend so much cash on cds. I have had my slappa case for some time now and it is just a smashing buy. i am actually trying to get another one and am waitin for saikosounds to restock on them as the main website www.slappa.com doenst ship outside the us.
