From FB. Sounds like Twisted is in pretty bad financial straights after all. Though I wonder how Simon can afford to keep touring the US.
------------
Thanks for all your help, we've found a way to release the Younger Brother album After reading all your ideas about financing the record, we've decided to go with http://www.pledgemusic.com/
We will be on the site next Monday, with all sorts of exciting offers... limited editions, collectables, tat, studio tours, personalised mixes... hopefully there will be something of interest for all budgets. Please help us raise the money for our record and tour support, so we can come to a city near YOU soon! |

cool, but the news songs, which I heard at Ozora, are really different and somehow close to radio music, which I do not like very much, if I look at, what they have done before that. |

i love the way people talk about other people life and about other people´s money.....
Younger Brother was never my cup of tea,but you are really idiots in basing your convictions in a photo...what do you know about other people finantial status?
Envy is so bad...... |

McKenna: You do realize that the artists at twisted might be making an OK amount of money regardless of the financial status of twisted records? Shpongle DJ tours in the US seems to be income for Posford himself, not twisted. I understand why he wouldn't want to spend his own money to keep Twisted alive.
I hope everyone can understand the distinction.

Sounds like someone needs to invest in his own label then...
Notice my wink though? |

That's a very interesting idea of releasing music. I think it shouldn't be a problem for Younger Brother to reach 100%.
Pledged!

I think this is a great way to release music, I sure hope they reach their goal!
I myself, have pledged 1 x Signed CD and 1 x Limited T-Shirt.
The "Very limited promo copies of the album" were "sold out" though

hard to say how the whole album is going to go, but from the little I've heard from the promos they've released, it sounds like it's going to be pretty organic in comparison to their other albums, which honestly I'm really looking forward to... "ribbon on a branch" was the stand out for me on their last album and it seems that's the musical direction they're going...
can't wait
  mmmmmm... ambient

I'm not sure I like this direction. J.Viewz is bringing out his album piece by piece for subscribers. Eno & Warp doing all that extra expensive special issues and collectors items.
Somehow all these initiatives take us away from the magic moments of just listening to a new album and exploring it for the music in it. I think its moments worth preserving. And I think artists and labels, and the whole music world, including the listeners should try and make it happen.
Not to diminish from the good deed in the pledge itself, of course.
And yes, I am too, waiting for the album.
