haven t used it much for these... rarely use these sound , but find it intresting with lp and env modulation on the filter , it s more my taste .., i used a lot nord and virus for these sounds in the past, both synth rox |

man can you tell me f it sound good as some hardware? it could be belivable it s hardware? just asking as i dont used hardware synth since some time , i kind of forget their quality... but wondering if it s on par..
we hear well the sound just the last bar when the filter is open...to me it s on par with hardware...

give a try to tal synths, elektro and noisemaker , they might sound better at 96 khz , havent tired them at that sample rate, but for fm sound on some plugs it can make a noticeable difference , they both have something in the sound that remind me some hardware synth... with a kind of grungy quality in the highs thought but they dont have much a plastic sound . |

to lazzy to sample and uplaod but i made a nice one with noisemaker... using 2 instance, one for left and one for right with slighty different setting... was sounding more than good enought , the hp filter sound good for these sounds , it make the wha wha effect when modulating... i like that a lot on these fm sound.
edit: damn it rox ! try detuning osc1 at max in the low , fine at max in the low too, osc 2 tune max in the highs . hp 12 will make the thing sing , almsot like a robot voice singing |

reaktor is also great for these sound . anyone have some old ensemble that was made and uploaded on this site by slyman (if i remember correcly is nick)? these were amazing too bad i dont have them anymore |

will try noisemaker and largo later tonight. it is interesting to compare fm on largo and blofeld.

find this old tune with some virus fm if some are curious...from what i remmeber these patchs were heavily detuned cause of the fm and retuned to correct pitch .from the plugs i know i think reaktor would be the closest to that sound , or maybe disco dsp that i find can sound more like a virus than a nord with fm but it sound a lot thiner without processing if i remember

It is higher c8 or something like that but he uses that note too  i think... That is FM8 but with a lot of tweaking. Don't expect it to be "fat" just like that. Exactly like the saw.
