4:10 & 5:45
Hi... i've been trying to recreate this sound with saws in Albino and synth1 mostly but cannot get the filter to crunch that way when sweeping... it is so rubbery, so textured...
What do Isratrance?

I wish I could know too
maybe a nord or virus plus a moog filter ... or not

Well, I hear some definite distortion going on. But I also hear some very slow flanging maybe? It certainly is kind of crunchy. Almost sounds like formant filters, really.

for more some nice crunch on leads... add a overdrive unit before the filter.
increase the drive while you bring down the filter frequency.
it's easier if we assign both parameters to the same midi knob or fader.

flanger, quadrafuzz gives that kind of sound sometimes - kind of rubbery sound, then there's a bit crusher at the end of the phrases with a formant filter, or the sylenth decimate with velocity on drive amount sounds exactly like that.
My guess is it's a mixture of those. I know what you mean though, and it sounds good.
I wouldn't just jump to say it's hardware cuz that doesn't get you anywhere except anther thread about how they're the same or not. Just assume they are and try to make the sound.
keytrack linked to cutoff probably is at work in this patch too. When i first heard it I thought, low passed saw linked to a formant filter. Gonna mess around with this for a little while right now

I'm getting closer results with my nord modular, the vowel filter helps and the overdrive before it too.
If you find anything else please throw it out it'll be welcomed
Thanks

Not having the side by side comparison because I don't have this track, this is something I came up with.
It's using 2 phasers, nice quality ones.
There's also quadrafuzz with some tweaks. The way quadrafuzz before and after a phaser can make a lot of difference in the sound and sometimes doesn't sound too terrible either, so it's something to try out.

It sounds good bro, maybe sweeping that cutoff could make it squeal much better... I'll try more stuff tomorro
Many thanks...

you may laugh, but have you tried a phaser?
the sound at 5:45 reminds me of a toy,
it was some kind of closed pipe (or column),
and in the pipe was a mobile thing.
if you turn the pipe upside down, the "mobile
thing" falls slowly down inside of the pipe, the air runs through this thing and a noise is coming out.

you can do that easly with sylenth1.
try using a similar preset and tweak it.
You can also try using distortion on top of it and...
instead of using a band pass filter use a filter like FabFilterPro and use a bell shape boost in the area from 200Hz to 20Khzplay with it and listen to the results.
