Hey friends..
Im thinking to get new monitors, In my want list its the Adam A7X, Yamaha MSP7, and Dynaudio BM6...but my budget dont reach the costs of this monitors. I Have a Alesis M1 620, and I feel they have a hyped bass...
I know the better thing is save money and get one of this top monitors I write above, but I checked the models and I find the Yamaha HS80 that are on my budget...As I will enter in a "no-officce-job" period to start a new album, Im thinking in buy this ones...anyone have this? are satisfied??
thaaanks in advance

I have the HS-80, and Im really satisfied! I have never had any other monitors so I cant compare them, but they serve me just fine and they go pretty low as well for monitors of that price range.
I bought them when I started producing music because my friend wwho owns a recording studio recommended them to me as the best for that kinda money, and he knows what hes talking about. So, get them!

going from alesis to the yamaha is an imporvement... but not a big one.
i would not do it.
be patient and when you got enough money upgrade to something that would really make a difference.
BUT!
if you want to upgrade from the alesis give a look at prodipe pro ribbon 8 i find them much much better than the yams. and they are cheaper also.

HS80M are pretty good for the money...I switched to them from small M-Adio BX5's and couldn't be happier.

i repleaced my hs50m with new focal solos and i thought i would never look back, but now i have both pairs installed and i have to say the yamahas are just GREAT for this price.
yes they sound harsh... but somehow they really point out some stuff i wouldnt hear with the 2000€ speakers sometimes.
i would go for them! i dont think its worth to wait for a more expensive pair. even if you get something different in a few years, the yamahas will still be a good second speaker then.
cheers
