oh about cubase, there's a great shop in USA, its on www.novamusik.com you can get cubase there much cheaper than in music-shop or halilit. you can also try www.act.co.il - forum, and buy 2nd hand package, but i think it won't be the latest version.

CS6x... Well... It has great sounds, IMO - They're not exactly suitable for psy-trance. Of course you'll program it in order to create new sounds, i think there are better synths for trance out there. BTW, you should buy something with a lot of knobs to insure the programming won't be exhausting. The CS6x has a few knobs and you'll need to go through cryptic menus in order to achieve the desired sound.

Look, i have a Virus, so i'm pretty subjective :). According to the specs, the Waldorf Q surpasses the Virus (they both have lots of knob, though), but i like the Virus' sound better, so i got the Virus (that and the fact the Keyboard version of the Virus is significantly cheaper than that of the Q's, and I wanted a synth with a built-in keyboard). If you haven't done this till now, go to music shop and listen to them both (and the nord, which personally i don't like very much), and than decide. In addition, listen to the Korg MS-2000 at Marom musical instrument. An amazing synth, but alas, its polyphony is only 4 voices (maybe it'll be sufficient for you).

8500-9000 NIS in "Music shop". If you're not into playing on a keyboard too much, the Virus Indigo will be enough for you (its keyboard has 3 octaves only, in comparison with the KB that has 5, and the keys aren't velocity sensitive, in oppose to the KB). The Indigo is cheaper, somewhere in the neighbourhood of 7800-8000 NIS.
Good luck Tom |

Don't buy a new synth! Buy used ones! Cheaper and they work the same!
And about the Virus KB - it is professional bigtime. Some consider it the best synth in the world together with the Waldorf Q. |
