merry x-mas to me 
i surprised myself (yeah ,right!) with a new synth. never had a yamaha before and it really has it's own distinctive sound compared f.e. to korg, moog and roland synths form the same era. some say it's more plastic. i'd say it resembles the ms-20 but has got less edge and more oomph. the simple sequencer is a joy to fool around with. instant techno loops! quite versatile connections and routing possibiblities for a non-modular analog synth from the 80's. haven't really put it up to the test yet but it's in my top 5 synths already.
