hello mates
i'm in the mood to upgrade my lil studio and what came by?
http://www.01xray.com/
this lil baby seems to me the perfect complement. 24/96 soundcard, digital mixer and hardware-controller, all in one for about 1700 euro.
do it or leave it? anyone?
tia

you are right. it sounds too cool to be true. but anyway, would be nice to have some opinions of owners, if there are...

with 1700 E u can get
a quite good 24/96 soundcard (eg delta 1010 600E, 10 ins 10 outs),
a mixer for about 300E (Behringer Eurorack MX1804X - 14 channels)
and u still keep 800E that u con do a lot with them...so think about it a spend ur $ wisely
good shopping!

thanx for ur opinion fluoSamsara, but its hard for me to agree.
i doubt the mentioned (analog) behringer mixer can bet the (digital) yamaha mixer. i believe in the digital power and i am sceptical for behringer products.
the other thing u didn't consider is the hardware-controler. i have no clue what mackie control costs, but it will be around those 800 euro or even above. with the soundcard, a reasonable digital mixer and mackie-control it costs me more than 1700 euro for sure.

This particular mixer is not something i'd recommend, it's frankly sucks ass.
I really don't like Behringer Mixers...
This Mixer looks very nice IMHO, really worth a check!

ok nectarios, thanx. but why buy 3 (for sure very good) pieces of equipment if i can have it in one? with the same quality or even better (if so, but thats my question actually)?
the yamaha mixers are sounding very well, i don't think they fuck it up with the ad/da converters and it looks like the hardware-controller is working well with logic and cubase. latency is low, afaik < 10ms and they are still working on it...
another aspect to consider is playing live with this thingy. this mixer is very small, like 420x300x110mm. and its digital, just select the right number and your done for the performance. Unfortunately ableton live is not yet supported by the hardware-controller, but who knows if they upgrade the software?
reasonable reasons to buy such a thing...
