Just because one of the members is leaving doesn't mean the project has to end
Good luck to both Ajja and Gaspard, both starting new missions and phases in life. I feel sure that both of them are destined for much happiness. |

Well, Yab-Yum, as far as the literal meaning goes is a union of 2 beings.
Wishing that this project lives on ... their energy combined churns out a very different vibe than their individual projects (which while on par production wise is just not the same balance)
Nocturnal Emissions is definitely going down as one of the timeless albums in the genre. Was hoping they'd start writing more tracks like 'Dr Ruthless' also. <always keeping fingers crossed>
Best wishes to Ajja & Gaspard for the known unknown that lies ahead. Thank you for the music!!! |

Man, hate to see such a great project go away. Some of my favorite moments as a DJ have been spinning the crazy Yab Yum sounds and the Peak sounds.
One of the first albums I bought when I got back to DJing was Nocturnal Emissions. Tripped out many a freak with it.
From what I see on Myspace Ajja is still going forward as Yab Yum, so lots of luck and vibes. Also good luck to Gaspard and blessings in whatever he does.

i dont know what you all guys heard , but what i heard was that yab yum may make another album by the end of this year or early next year , already many new traks are sighned in new upcomming va's.
and this is what i heard , so u can call it roumor or whatever, but i still think yab yum is still together , maybe they release as individuals as ajja and gaspard, but i still think that yab yum is still yab yum !

I just got back from Skygravity festival where Ajja performed alone both as YabYum and as Ajja. Great music, fantastic vibe and absolutely alienated dude
Big respect to Yab Yum and Peak Records.
Best luck to Gaspard, however hope we still will get more of this great music from you!

Just spoke to Ajja and he's continueing with Peak Records, Yab-Yum, Ajja and The Peaking Goddess Collective on his own. Gaspard is sick & tired of the trance business from what I understood and is stepping out...unfortunately, but well, all 4 a reason I'm sure. To bad though, it was such a blast to see those 2 tattoed freaks bounce on stage (Check Boom 2006 DVD for some proper evidence) but 1 way or the other, good luck wished to both of those kick-ass creative guys that delivered and gave a lot to our beloved scene...thx a bunch guys !

Gaspard has been ruling my trance visions since the very first parties i went to... back in 99.
If i don't see you at some duffs anymore, it will be around some melted cheese.
Best wishes with whatever goes on... these peak guys are such a cool tribe.

For sure Gaspard will be missed, but he does have a new role in life now, and his energy will be needed for that. But Ajja is still running around and for sure you know that Peak will still be rockin it for many many days to come!
