the future retro one is not much more expensive check it,some features worth the extra price...(like recall + fx ) a friend use it for live acts with a machine drum ,great combo it rocks ! (have no idea how close it is to the original but it sound good , it s like a tb 303 on stereoid)

Its not as close to the TB as the x0xb0x though + I don't want anything more than what the TB offered. I find inspiration in the limitations of things, so that I can only focus on the pattern/music side of things when it comes to 303 lines.

yes agree thought the fr one is limited too, it just offer pattern storage and some analog/digital fx , if it s for live act its very handy , for the price difference you get a lot more for your money ,it s like they made a evolution to the 303 and not a clone ,fr is a real good company that make quality stuff with great suport too, i think the turn off is how it look ,i don t like it much personally.
it sound cleaner to me, less vintage than a 303 , i think it s cause the osc are more stable, the xoxbox might be closer to the real sound , after it depend if you need feature for live use or not.

i built 2 x0xes up to now and i still got parts for 5 more, just need to order some pcbs and enclosures. i used all the original parts, except the ba662a. its nearly impossible to get one, unless u pull it out from some other gear - it wont influence the sound anyway if you wanna get an allrdy built unit, i'd recomment x0xsh0p.de. he uses all the original parts, knows what he is doing and the support is great too. dont save some $ and regret it later.
