Loved the new location, BEAUTIFUL. The little yellow flowers everywhere amazing.

It was great to be outside though it was chilly in the night, JASON thank you for the great great fire, it helped to keep the people, close to the dance floor. Organization of the party was great big big props, seamless.

Which brings me to the next subject, The Music. I will say I am a fan of twilight, psychedelic full on style, I can appreciate and dance to good night music as well. I did feel and from talking with people from LA and from SF that the music could have been better, Axis and DOT very similar styles, wrong time to play. I thought Greg did not perform as good as he can, same goes to Mubali, he played a little different set then he usually plays, I am all for dj trying different things, But I did not think that that set work good at least for me, and I am a big fan of Mubali. Skeptich played a funky set-very unusual I thought it was cool. Most people hanged out by the fire maybe cause it was too cold.

All in all it was much much fun big respect for organizing this much fun for us to enjoy.
Happy birthday Karo!!!!!!

That was a lot of fun. It's great to be sun burned. It feels like it's been a long winter.

I really liked the Fractal Cowboys set.

This was the best party I have ever had the pleasure to organize and be a part of. For those wondering the main organizational crew consisted of myself, my girlfriend Toni, Megan MoE, and Patricia Karolina. Sivan and Shai also helped a lot, and as usual Justin Psyclone provided help in ways one might never imagine would be needed for an event.

As for the music...
"... You can't please everyone all the time"....
The music was great. There is no denying it. Every style of trance was covered. Mundi's music is perfect for peak of the night. Mubali played excellent new music. Ghreg played unbelievable industrio-trance that was not over the top whatsoever. Skeptych surprised everyone with a funky suomi style leading perfectly into dark night time music.

Furthermore the music seems to have incited *deep reactions* in various listeners/dancers at various different times of the party. True art should always incite some kind of polarized reactions through-out a cross section of individuals.

That said, I really don't mean to incite anger in people, so on some level I apologize that despite my greatest efforts I can't seem to make everyone happy with my music. It would be interesting to note, however, that while one critic came up to me and stated that "the music wasn't structurally complex enough for sunrise," he then turned to another individual and said "his music just sounded so overly complex like he spends all day in front of a computer making it insane"... so oh well, i guess those are both critical statements but they are totally opposite.

I do take people's deep and opposite reactions (some people loved it while others hated it) as some kind of twisted complement, but it is still a bit difficult to deal with. I put a lot of effort into throwing these parties with the people I do it with, and I put a lot of effort into making psychedelic music for people to enjoy, and it seems somewhat insulting to me when someone comes up to me during my second song and tells me "you are destroying the psy trance scene. you know nothing about psychedlia or a dancefloor. you have destroyed the scene"... it just seems strange when i look around and see hundreds of people, a pretty active dancefloor considering how cold it had just been, and an amazingly beautiful location. ah well.

i love you all! thanks to everyone who attended and especially Toni, Megan, and Karo for being a part of LUNAGON. here's to future parties!

Lunagons in my eyes!

Thank you, thank you, thank YOU for creating a very special experience with me! Megan, Dog, I love you guys! Toni, Sivan, Shai, Justin, Summer, Xipil, Olga, Ohm Guru, Genny Dave - you made magic happen! Fire raging, beautiful jeweled music box, well-equipped composting toilets, epic trippy shade! Kick-ass welcome crew! This is the first party I didn't spend over 50% of the time at the gate! (Fuck yeah, Toni, you did a stellar job!) My heart is gushing with gratitude and love. XO.

I want to note that I saw just about every musician wiggle/dance or bounce around to the music they played. This is a good sign. People were in a good mood, Spring has sprung!

The line up went something like this:
Opening Ceremony turned into the crew and many attending wrangling a windy dragon to get the shade structure up. Music started just after 8:30.
Sunchild played an inviting opening set which had me warmed up and heart smiling. Xipil showed endurance! Gave us a solid aural serving after beautifying the music box. Around 11pm GoE thought it was much later than it was and played for a while before Xipil regained the decks followed by Skeptych. This was one of my favorite sets. By the time Skeptych was half way in, the rest of the party had made it to the trance floor. A couple people thought it was different for him and lighter than usual. I appreciate the creativity it takes to be hard as fuck and playful Danced my nuts off! Sadly, Luuli couldn't make it. (Be well, love!) Our good friend Mubali stepped right up and threw down some tasty funk. Ghreg on Earth played a second, longer, set which made everybody go wild. Around this time I ran into friends that were coming to a psytrance gathering for the first time. They were grinning ear to ear, loving it. Saying that the party was like nothing they anticipated. Axis Mundi blew my mind. I fully melted, defragmented... Recalibration occurred somewhere in the midst of Dog of Tears' set. At the dawn, the desert looked like a glob of cupcake batter had splattered all over it. Between the light purple shade, jeweled music box and orange and pink hues of the Sun's rays, the desert glowed with rainbow sherbet bliss. Yellow flowers blooming everywhere to reveal nature's eyes peaking through the cosmic web. Yeah. It was that good. Fractal Cowboys put a smile on my face and we freaked the morning a proper welcome. Spyros rocked my world with a heavy, soulful set. Barakuda, bless his heart, gave me my favorite track from 2004 amidst a fresh, chunky set. DJ Chicago had legs in a frenzy with a 1200 Mics retrospective and more. When people are happy and working it out, I'm happy. (Some did not appreciate the tranced out rock n roll, to which I advised to take a walk or eat something.) Scenator moved me the whole time with a full power, psychedelic, progressive-leaning set. Nikroma played a delicious, nasty array of psy, prog, minimal and dub. Weeping Knobs cleared the air and prepared us for a gentle landing during their live improvisational jam with Axis Mundi.

I felt a lot of heart put into everything that was shared, built, played this weekend. Maybe it was just me, but I felt like people placed their heart right on the altar. Amazing.

Please share links to pictures and videos. I want to witness this tangerine conspiracy again

An idea that has been our baby finally came to fruition...

We threw a perfect party that not only made several people dance, but blew MANY minds. Psychedelic, indeed.

The trajectory of the scene seems to be mirroring that of Mother Earth herself...so at least we're still contemporary.

Sunchild and xipil was who I was wondering thanks guys nice sets. I wasn't expecting mubali and yes his set was different then maybe normal but I one dug and two more importantly want to say (and this is no disrespect to anyone) but I have to say raised the bar of the party. There was a clean technical greatness that came out of that set I think. I'm not saying mixing skills or even track selection really just an overal stepped to the plate and handled it proper. It was seamless beauty.

It was such a pleasure to hear true live music. People That had a problem with dogs of tears I think that maybe you should have stopped talking and listen a little more. By this I mean....for my personal taste his dance set was not completely not my cup-o tea but he was truly trying to communicate with us through his music and maybe just maybe if you just Would listen to what he was saying and where maybe he wanted to take us then maybe he would have found a more common ground. It's a give and take through sound and energy. Yes it was cold but from the moment he took over you could tell he was finding himself in the equipment and moment. It was true live music. I did think it kind of sucked that everyone came to dance after the yelling dude, it's cool to show support but was it because his music spoke to you or because you wanted to tell your buddy it's ok just do your thing? He cared where we were going (mental journey) he needed the energy from us to con

Like I said Axis Mundi had me moving most I really enjoyed and didn't expect it at all.

So many times people get up and only play what they want or what they think people want and I feel like this was not at all the case. To be honest that's what I expected from you Tears (get up and do your own thing) only because of shit that has flown around on the web and your stance but it's the Internet and many ideas get all sorts of scrambled online. I felt and heard your call and I think it reflected the party itself it was true to heart and was nice.

Like I said Axis Mundi had me moving most I really enjoyed and didn't expect it at all.

And the best MUSiC IMO of the party was weeping knobs. I spent the day sleeping and chilling at the car listening from a far to everyones sets and enjoyed the music I heard but was called back to the dance floor by the knobs of all things thank you guys. But as I said that's near and dear to my heart and soul.

@karo I don't know you but happy birthday! When was yours? Mine was sat and my girls was Sunday

I really Was looking forward to this weekend and it turned out way better then I expected. One of the best birthdays thank you

Lunagon was my first psytrance event and it was wonderful. The location was prestine and beautiful. It was pretty windy during the day but temperate and the starry night sky was glorious! My fellow dirt ravers for the most part were glowing with warmth, and the camp was well maintained by great volunteers. As for the music, the sound systems pumped out tasty and hypnotic jams nonstop. I found myself constantly inspired to get up and lose myself in the sound! I made a lot of new friends and I eagerly await the next event!

P.S. the copter and old school fighter planes that's flew over were a triiiiiip!
