YAAAAAAAAAY!!!!! :):)
Just found out they`ll be in Osaka on Nov 20 (then Tokyo on the 22nd) and thought I`d do my good deed for the day and share it with the rest of you! I`m officially reserving Nov 20 on my calender for this special event as I`m a huge fan of Xdream and missed their last set in Japan. Hope to see the rest of you there!

Nice one Sihaya.
I saw them at Differ in Tokyo about this time last year and although everything seemed to be in place for a good dance, I couldn't find myself dancing to the X-dream set. Most others seemed to be barely moving either. For me it wasn't very danceable, and worse (for me), not very psychedelic at all. They had definitely changed a lot from the "classic" X-dream sound.
Anyway, that party might be great for you. I hope their sound pushes your buttons. Please give us a review after the party.

Well guys, just by chance I saw "We Interface", the latest release from X-Dream (I think the rest of the world will have them only in November). Arne and Michael were two of my favorites producers at any time, as X-Dream or The Delta, but this release is just pure techno, no trance in any of the tracks. Guess the guys took the radical way. I was so surprised by the harshness in "We..." that I could no buy their CD. But it's good anyway, but do not expect tracks like "Water Machine" or beautiful "Thorazin".
Music for robots this time.

Peace and Love.

Yes, their new album is more techno and breakbeats.
A very nice album. X-dream is always changing, if your looking for something new, this is the party to go to.

Turbo Taima: According to the solstice website, the party is at Zepp in Osaka on Sat. Nov 20.

About the new album, although the strong electro flavour of 'We Interface' is a far cry from the sounds of Radio and Irritant etc(2 of my fave albums), I think its still a great album that shows Xdream aren't afraid of a little change(not that I had my doubts). I'm looking forward to seeing them live again, but won't deny I really hope they play some of their classics as well

goa-ganges,
got back from the osaka party, and haveta say, dunno how the tokyo party turned out, but osaka vibe ROCKS! not too many of the kogyal-freaks (though i missed them..) mostly just freaked out party lovers...

as for their live, it was a good mix of their old tracks and new ones..
first part was without the singer girl, playin some really old school tracks from like 'we created out own happiness ' and 'radio' mixed in with their newer tracks

lotsa energy in the mixin in between tracks and sometimes bustin out the long breaks with the psy electronic sounds goin in waves and sprinkles of energy, and remixes (or different versions?) of their old tracks..

i guess it's best to describe as full-on techno trance. then the latter part of the live was with the singer..and some crazy dancers decked out in neon like (or more like that movie TRON like) colors.. the girls voice actually really goes well with the music, really adds to the feel of it.. i think that with the girls voice, it adds a dimension of a 'futursitic decadence vibe' to their sounds.. not really an emotion, but a atmosphere.. all in all, a good show.. (show i say, cuz it definitely is not like the old school 'party', but a 'show') but everyone was hella into it, dancin like crazy.
nice. they still rock for sure. plus in zepp osaka, they have a crazy ass huge screen behind the dj, which really adds a lot to the party visual wise.
talked to the lady who sings, shes actually from tenessee.. seemed like she was one that s experienced pretty much everything in the party scene, travelled and partyied everwhere.. very nice person.

one things for sure, people can say anythin about xdream, but they are still 100% for the scene, no sellinout..
and for me, the part that really was the best was the after hours....
frank E and markus playin a pingpong dj set for like 3 hours... markus playin some really intelligent tecnho mixed with some psy flavor, and frank E comin in with the psy/sometimes psuedo ful-on, sometimes twisted trance.. that was a real treat. no commercial aspects at all in the after hours, just the hardcore pumpin getya booty shakin sounds... talked to markus actually, he was sayin he was playin some new material that morning..
his set was really on the techno side, a surprise, and a welcome one indeed..
all in all, i thought the osaka vibe is much younger (meanin more full of the energy & euphoria of the underground ages of psytrance..) but people who live in osaka say it has changed in the recent years, more of the people who don't come for the musik.. o well, got one thing to say, there sure are a lot less of those kinda people than in tokyo!

D&S, you are a privileged guy, since this must be one the X-Dream tours after they released their controversial "We Interface". Guys around the world should see your comment and drop the feeling that the girl's voice would make it cheesy when they would play it live, as some have been saying. Well, as for the crowd, I've seen 13teens in the dance floor in some parties when I was DJing, not in Japan of course. But it's a great change for a scene that was created by 40-somethings to 30-somethings, as Id magazine said once.

Peace and Love

X-Dream did not play trance, but they did put the whole floor in trance.
They did rock us all, the sound was awsome, the show was killer, and the live had no glitches.
What a disappointment when Koxbox played afterwards ... it felt empty !
(don't get me wrong, I usually prefer Koxbox to X-Dream, but not this time, and I will surely move forward to/with their new vibe)
