Not necessarily.
Just check what most of your friends are playing and also what kind of games do you like.
Of all XBOX360 games the only one I really miss is Gears of War. I could live without Halo and the rest of their exclusives. On PS3 on the other hand we have a few must haves (for me anyway) Uncharted, InFamous, Killzone and God of War.

^ serious ? , i thought next gen is still a few years away at the very least and greedy developers will continue to milk current consoles for all they r worth .. but good if it happens , finally get games the pc been ready for years

Console gaming is holdiung back game development.
PC is like 4 years ahead in technology, still since many important games have to be in all plataforms specs are pushed down.

these are speculations and not facts.
the only fact till now is the release of the wii 2 that will support graphics like the xbox 360 and ps3 or even better and its due to be released in early 2012..
for the rest there is still a 2/3 year life span ahead since they just released they ps move and xbox kinekt controllers respectively.

Also, an interesting speculation that flows is that the porting from XBOX360 to Wii2 will be very very easy which makes me think that it will have a PC like architecture. Very wise idea I think.

only thing nintendo lacked so far was multiplatform gaming support since major developers didnt release they flagship games on the wii due to the lack of processing power... things are about to change and if nintendo does the expected will pretty much blow the rest to pieces..
nintendo gameplay was always top notch and its proven that wii is the best seller with less fancy graphics..
now take that and add hd graphics and major developers support and you have a winner!
metroid prime in hd graphics... damn i cant wait!!
