Hi fellow trance-heads!

Xamanist is my new solo project, after the stop of my previous duo Swan X-1.

In this project I'm after the perfect balance between progressive and goa... sometimes dark, sometimes full of light

"This is a warning" is a track that I started in 2000, after Boom Festival. Has been sleeping in my archive till now... i listened to it recently and decided to refresh it for my actual ears

Enjoy! And please leave your feedback, it's important to me.

ok... you could give me a little help here, with your true comments... the track is available for listening and downloading and it's not THAT bad

after reviewing so many tracks from other artists I was expecting at least one feedback... oh well, back to the composing lab

hey man
i think the track is ok
lotsa equalizer work you should do in my opinion
and focusing on deeper sounds on the backgroud maybe?
cheers           Whatever the Thinker thinks, the Prover proves

hey serguei...

nice track in its structure... needs indeed a bit of EQ...
but with the right Eqing it will be a good track...
something in between the styles...           -----------------------------------------------

@ psylient:
i wanted to use a goa oldschool kick for a change, but indeed this kick sound still doesn't have the right EQ... I'll try diferent kicks to find the perfect one, thanks

@ lucidpicnic and X.tract:
i agree with the EQ needed, thanks for listening! I'll tune it better, but with this track is dificult for me to do the EQ properly because I recreated the track from an old WAV file... EQ'ed it removing bass freqs and added new kick, bass, drums and minor synths... so I cannot change the original synth sounds, only EQ the sum of them but i'll do the trick be creative ehehe

thanks so much for listening and commenting guys
soon i'll upload a better mix and promote here other tracks

Hey!

I've uploaded the final mastered version yesterday, to the same link: http://www.psytracks.com/Xamanist -> This is a Warning

What do you think about the overall sound production, EQ, etc? Any tips?

Hey Serguei ..

Must agree with Lucid Picnic , There is an nice flow and stream but the track need an realy hard deep work on the eq side , Attention to the hh , Are to open in my opinion and radiate themself into and all over and even on the otheres tunes in - Close them abit (Make it more sharp) , Also try do somthing with the hh at the movment part - Dont let them be sound and heard the same all way long in your track make it more interesting , Some more games will make all be and sound different . Kik and bass need power , There is some places that the kik is barely there , Also wish hearing the bass more dominant and thunderous . Could hear an nicely mello around but try work harder on the sound man it will change all to better . Then with a good mix you will get and lovely and a stable track .

Hard work is the secret ! . All the best ..
