hi, sorry for hijacking the thread but i also have an x-station and am just wondering if anyone else has had any trouble assigning it to midi parameters in ableton, i'm on a macbook using ableton 6. it's the first controller i've used so i don't know a great deal about this kinda stuff. ableton recieves a midi signal and i can use it to play notes etc but it doesn't seem to want to assign any parameters.

I own an X-station also. Lately it somehow forced out nearly all VSTis I've been using for quite a long time.

Well I tried several times to use it however I failed to assign it correctly. The plugin didn't recognize wheather i move my finger horizontally or vertically. Thereofore it recieved a midi signal mess and assigned controlled started moving randomly.

i figured it out! yeah

ok so i use it with ableton live, and i just got Alien 303 and what i did was just import it as a channel - Unfold Device parameters. then just make sure to assign your Filter' -> Frequency and Resonance Knobs on the Xstation to the two parameters you want on to use on the VST... i just midi-assigned the freq/resonance on the alien 303 and pow like that my pad wERKS.

Also, another tip i can give is:

if you want to Record Midi or record sound played that on a VST - make sure your MIDI FROM in your ableton track is set to X-station, not just ALL Ins...

i made that mistake a couple times before i figured it out.

I want preeesets
