hi vrybody,
i'm interested in buying an x-station, but i would like to try it first and see somebody using it (very interested in potential as a midicontroller).
i'm looking for someone living in CH or near the swiss border of basel, geneva and ticino to show me a little bit how he/she works with x-station
got questions like:
-are the synth assigned knobs assignable to midi functions?
-are the keypads assignable to midifunctions different than the keyboard function?
-mapping with different softsynths
-use of synth and built in effects as vst from the pc is possible?
hope someone can spend some of his time for me
bye

Hi there
This question was better if posted in the production forum.
Anyway you can assign the synth knobs of different midi functions (doesn't matter if hard or soft) and map as many different functions/synths in the same way.
I have a BCR-2000 usb/midi controller and it works very fine with Ableton and vts's! (I used it with Reason too). The setup is very easy!
1. Activate the key in the application
2. Activate le midi-learn mode in the application
3. Select the knob to modulate
4. Move a knob in the keyboard
Ipso Facto
(point 2 and 3 may change in other applications)
