[sigh] usally I solve this problems for others, but I can't solve mine. maybe one of of you is a voodoo expert .
since I got the X-Station I had problems with the audio driver. I get bursts of noise every now and then. it can be after 10 sec of playing in the windows media player or after a few minutes in another program. the midi is working just fine. my laptop is toshiba sattelite 5105-S701 with a 1.8MHz P4.
I did almost anything possible
- reinstall drivers
- reinstall windows
- trying to work with wdm or asio with diffrent buffer sizes.
- work with differnt programs like nuendo, reason, wmp...
- use it on another computer to make sure it's working (it does work).
- usb power and external power
- use PCMCIA USB 2 card, because my USB is 1.1
- stop smoking in the studio...[long sigh]
help me guys

I am having the same problem with mine at the mo...its so frustrating. I'll try the older drivers tonight(holding thumbs)
I suspect also that my USB cable is broken....do you think a generic one will work too or should I get on the horn to Novation?? |

you shuld try this :
* check your V driver that you download(pc or mac)
* use the x station on another computer to make sure it's working
if it working on another computer so :
* reinstall windows
* install drivers
* check your USB input
* try another USB cable
if it still dont work so you have a problem with the X station(go to the neer novation store and fix it)
Good luck |

I ended up reloading the OS on the X-Station and installing SpeedswitchXP(app that lets me push my cpu to the max) and seems to be working now but it still doesn't sync with cubase properly.
I'm running the new drivers 2.5.5. I'll try the older ones again. |
