just updated the OS and restored factory settings.
Let me rephrase my question.
the pre-configured templates dont seem to be working with my vsts. It just keeps saying "no control"
Someone know a way around this?

Yo!! So lets see. Did you download the templates at the novation website and install them on to the x station? i ( http://www.novationmusic.com/product.asp?id=1&view=downloads&Type=1&bArchive= ) i dont remember if the working templates came preinstalled on it. You need to use a program like sysex librarian or something like that to upload them onto the x-station. they're ".syx" files. My friend is more the expert on this stuff, but this is what i think i remember when we set up my x-station.
ps. i got a demo from vasili of your tracks. theyre awesome!! if you havent heard our tracks, you can hear them at http://www.panjea.com.anachronid |

Hey Anachronid,
Glad you like some of my tunes i checked out yours.. pretty cool stuff man
Basically i just want some of the templates to work, I did try and download them. however those are some "new" presets" i just want to get the ones that came with the x-station to work. Going to troubleshoot it.

hey i have the x-station too and my templates work... try out the template maker that comes along with the novation.
i really like the controller, it needs a little time to get to know how to work with it but you can really do much.
you can pm me if you want to know something!

Oh yeah.....i think i remember that when i first used the x-station i had to turn all the knobs all the way down before they would actually engage the parameters on any vst. For example turn the cutoff knob all the way down and this may reset the controller and make it engage the cutoff on the vst. I almost remember going into the templates and editing and resaving them so all the knobs would respond immediatly to any input w/o having to reset the knob back to zero. Maybe this will help?
Cheers!
