Usb is better i would say..
so lets guide you through this..create a midi track and put your favourite synth in it..
go to device setup and click on the top left of the window on plus..then choose generic control..so you are almost done..just go into generic control setup ..set global input to all midi in....maybe close the setup now and go back into it..sometimes it just work then..don`t know why..but in generic control..there you choose a controler in the upper window..so select it..turn a poti or whatever on your controller..then click learn..the controller number should change to the actual controller youve moved on your keyboard or whatever..
if yes its good if not restart device setup and try again..
if yes..go to the window below..search for your learned controller..then choose your favourite synth and the parameter you want to control..
there you go..
good luck!!

ok thanks doood im gonna try all options .... cause i kinda tried the genetic remote think earlier on my own ... but didnt work out wit this controller .... i coudlnt assing anything .... but i will try the full guide exactly the way mark said it lets see ....
also another problem ... in FL i can right click on many FL plugins and it gives me the option link to controller ... then i simply move a knob and its assigned which is pretty cool feature ... only problem i cant seem to record this automation im doing wit the knobs .... i tried to record the movement but it doesnt work afterwords when i play wit full track ... |

i find midi works better, coz with usb u cant hot plug midi devices etc....
and the latency is pretty much the same...
i only had one problem since i changed to only midi, and i think its in mi controller so.... im happy

hmm..i`ve never heard about midi latency at all actualy..always considered that problem with audio drivers..
but i may be wrong..
and to the usb or midi question..if you got a midi in in your soundcard sure you can use it..if you got only usb and need to buy a seperate midi device i would save the money and go for usb..and btw..isn`t it quite common, that an extra midi device is plugged into an usb port? dont`t know actualy..i got two in my soundcard but use usb..cause i have to power my controller with that usb bus power thing..
