There is alreay a remix for Madonna - Hung Up. I think it's from Digital Sequence.
About this whole issue, I think it's not a big problem, as long as the labels do not release it (and the DJs don't play it at parties ).

I hate the sound of her voice and her music but I've played that track for friends who like the original and aren't into psytrance much, and we all get a good laugh out of it.

Kinda agree here.. I liked the instrumental version a lot, that I heard the first time by a friend spinning hiphop stuff, and I asked him what that track was (I didn't identify it as a Britney Spears, hehe)..
So about the remix, I didn't hear it, so I don't know if they put the chant in it.. But for info Toxic was composed by four people, Cathy Dennis, Christian Karlsson, Pontus Winnberg, and Henrick Jonback who all have a serious background behind them. I don't think many "psytrance" composers can beat them technically speaking..

Yes I do.
i didn't wan't to be harsh about the remix because I didn't hear it. Then my words were only about the instrumental version of the song which, again, didn't sound that bad to me.
And maybe if you dig in the forum you will find some posts from me where I explain how much I can deplore sometimes the things that are "remixed" by some psytrance artists.. And that I'd like them to be more showing us some deeper parts of their personality.. Like "hear people : this is some of the music we do truely like besides psytrance an wanted to share it with you, including our touch"
I used to quote the Dark Soho remix of Save Me God as an example..

yes this track where you talking about "Toxic" will be released on "Mekkanikka's" new album.....
he did a RMX from it....
release date 5th' april....... (PBR009CD)
its an absolutley dancfloor smasher.....
nice full on track....
the whole album is just great work, every single track on it will find his time for the dancefloor!!
soon i can give some more info..... but all i can say its a killer track! 
after this the new "CPU" album will be released,
(PBR010CD)
