On ebay i bought:
1. RME HSDP 9632 new with guarentee (ebay shop)
2. Evolution midi controller new with guarentee
3. Powercore element new w/ guarentee
4. Nordlead II rack, 2nd hand, great condition
And so far everything i bought works great, just have to be carefull to buy from reliable shops and users who have good ratings.
Each new item was around 20- 30% cheaper than in the store here.

Of course, with second hand may be a diferent story, but buying new stuff, if I know the product, I have no problem in buying over the internet from a reliable shop (turnkey and digital village never let me down) |

6 also. With e-bay maybe you need to be confortable with the place. Other ones like thomman for example I have bought total worth of thousands. i got offered the best service ever. Even when i compared with other high street stores.... I wouldn't have any prob doing it again.

i've bought from many second-hand sources, newspapers, sites, etc
i've also bought a lot from amazon, thomann, music store, etc
there's one site wich people should be extremly carefull about. I almost got scammed there 3 times and it never happened anywhere else
Once it was when someone placed an ad for a nord lead 3 for 500e and the other two times were when i tryed to sell my emu 5000 and got replys from 2 scammers with fake cheques and the "i'll send you twice the amount, please return the remainder scheme aka nigerian scheme"
Thankfully i did some research and wasn't scammed.
the site is www.harmony-central.com so please be carefull with it's sellers/buyers
anywhere else i shopped/bought/sold i always found good deals and nice and helpfull people

Ho !
greets to all
can any of you guys..with more experience in buying from web stores inform me if these stores can make some kind of "deal" and send the gear as a "Gift"?? The intention is to avoid the bloody abusive import taxes that my country have..something in the range of 150% of the product price !!! OMG !!
If I can just one time be sure that the money of this taxes will return in form of benefits to the population of Brazil instead of being all stoled by all crap goverments I pay this f***king taxes...but as I know that all this will be stoled I would like to skip this abusive taxes..understand ?
I know that many cd's and vinyl UK stores make this kind of "deal" one friend of mine that spins d'n'b always do that...the stores sends to him as a "gift" and he even write down a note card for himself (to complete the "lie")
what you think ? this is possible or I'm tripping out ?
cheers
peace

Wanka Tanka, just ask the shop if they do that, no problem asking
I never bought hardware like that since im in EU and buy gear from EU, but I buy albums from outside EU and they do send me as a "gift" if I ask, not sure if hardware vendors will do the same... |
