when you get request even on closed myspace profile or private and the next move from the requestor is a big comercial please or you can buy it here or there - That really suck and is completely annoying man this is a reason to loose respect in a nutshel .
I have 3 profiles on myspace 2 for 2 kinds of music and one private.I request very seldom myself only when I feel it really.When you see at one day in all profiles(the closed or unseen at first look inclusively) request by the same record company and nothing else but a commercial as the next move.This is sooo pooor .Gigalol ..

A lot of people who spend a lot of time, searching for music they like, will filter out a lot of music, based on what label its on. For example, I also don't like anything (well only heard a few tunes on myspace, which gave me a good idea of the general vibe of the label) that ultravision releases.
So instead of wasting more time, hoping I am going to find something I like, on ultravision's myspace and its friends, I move on to a new place where I have more chances of finding something I like.
Hope you understand why some people will not bother checking out your EP.

Yeah, I do, and it's a perfectly understandable behavior. I search by a similar method usually but by artist instead of label. The main thing I disagree with is to call an artist or his music shitty based on the label it's released on rather than the quality of the music itself. But that's something kind of different anyway. Also different from the spam issue. You do make a valid point but in this stage of the game it's sort of too late, to the point where I feel like much promotion of it at this point would be counterproductive and/or misconstrued. But my argument was mainly on behalf of other artists besides myself. I know a lot put a lot of work into their sounds even though not every release may be earth-shattering from them that I'd hate to think the label would be the greatest deciding factor in whether or not someone wants to give the music itself a chance or simply declares it shitty at the outset.
Oh, well, there's not too much more I can add to what's already been said, and besides, this thread is getting to the "kicking a dead horse" point anyway. Again, I do see your point, though, and it's one of the most level-headed in this whole discussion, so props

normally i block, but they still seending using other sender mail, specially ultravision... maybe 2 or 3 mails blocked.
yesterday i came to the city and a friend said about this topic here, so.. i tought:"maybe good oportunity to check, why it happens?"
I dont have any problem with you (nothing personal), your job, your artists, your music.. but, please stop spam-me, i´m living out of the city, no internet, no phone, no communication.. I only check mails in 15/15 days.. and 90% it´s spam.. from these 90%.. almost 80% its from ultravision.
...and dont create a extend thread on it, cause I´m not going check it... today I will come back to my ranch and than.. more 20 days without communication! That´s the good part to live without modern communication ways.
