there is the news of last month.
## • M-THEORY (UK / Italy) [Demo tracks]
M-Theory are DJ Marchello Baccheschi (Neurobiotic) a.k.a CIMI ~ and ~ Rob (Monastic Squid) Nichols. They met and became friends on the dance floor of Sola Luna, Samothraki in 2001, but didn’t start making music together until 2005, when they both moved to the same area of London.
Marcello grew up in Tuscany, Italy and spent his teenage years listening to progressive techno and tribal house. In 1997 he moved to London and, discovered trance and began to DJ. In 1998 the Chichime parties were born, where Marcello was and still is a regular DJ. A few years later he began a residency at Fairy Tales and developed his style from a more progressive oriented sound to full on psychedelic. In 2001 he became a label DJ for Etnicanet Records and since then he has moved to Neurobiotic Records. He is producing music under the name Cimi, his solo project, with releases on Alchemy records, Point Zero Records and Yellow Sunshine Explosion. DJ’ing is still a one of his major passions and he will definitely be appearing in both guises for a long time coming.
Rob grew up in Somerset, England and has been involved with electronic music from the early 1980’s. As a teenager in a school cover band playing synth, he enjoyed Jean Michelle Jarre, David Bowie, Gary Newman and early Hip Hop before moving over to House, Acid, Techno and finally discovering Trance in the early 1990’s. He finished Uni, and roamed the Planet, discovering Psytrance at an ‘Outdoor Ozzy Doof’ near Sydney in 1996.
Returning to England, in 2001 Rob bought a computer and started producing Psytrance under the name Monastic Squid, he had some success with releases on Alchemy Records and Procyon Records, before teaming up with Marcello and focusing on their new Project……
M-Theory.
## • GALAKTIK WAVE (Mahogany Records / France) [Demo tracks]
Olivier is travelling in the soul, he has been living in many different countries for a long time, places like : Ibiza, Goa and Brazil...
He started DJing in Ibiza during the summer 1998. Then he played in 1999 at parties in Goa. In 2000 he also played in Bali for the Earth Dance Festival and for the Full Moon parties in Thailand.
In 2001 he started his professional carrier as a DJ in Brazil.
He has been part of big events like: Etnicanet Celebra Brasil, Trancendance, Ipy Poty Boom Festival, Brazilians Trance Festival... He has also played in all the big national events like: Carnaval Bahia (80 000 people in the street!), Megavonts (10 000 people), Orion Dance (5000 people)...
In 2002 he started making his own music : Galaktik Wave and has created a studio in Trancoso (Bahia/Brazil). That’s where he realized with Bansi (gms) the 2 killers tracks°happy trails° and °scream take 2°. He also collaborates with Poli doing the track° altered reality° (Spunrecords). Then afterwds he mades °pharmacy° (Quanticarecords).The next released will be :
°peace warrior° (Ketuhrecords), °boom7°, °e-tower°(Spontaneous Aerobics records - Cosmophilia), °white force° (Mahogany Records)....
He also works with Polaris and together they produce °mekanikal male° (Exposure Productions records).
He started acting live for the new year party in 2004 (Brazilians Trance Festival) and went on playing around the country, France, Spain and Belgium.
His brand new album is planned for 2006.
## • Dr INSECT ("Predators"/ Pan Papason/ Greece) [News DJ set]
Dr.Insect started djing in 1991 and after 5 years of mixing different styles of music psychedelic trance won him over.In these 10 years he had played in many parties in Greece as resident or guest dj,in some of them with Max & Mauri (Etnica),PanPapason (P.A.N),DJ Edoardo (Neurobiotic records),Nikos Liquid Love and other guests and local djs.In 2003 he desided to share his knowledge in electronic music with his brother who had a solo carier since then as Los Predator after the split of L.O.S and they created the project PREDATORS.Since today they have played many live acts around with great success and already have 3 releases in Etnicanet records.Nowadays he is also playing on http://www.DI.fm webadio station.He studied sound engineering and movie editing and he is working in both while making music and djing.
