Basically my definition of worldmusic would be organic, chilled vibes, with an organic touch from around the globe.
Nothing very electronic or twisted...just warm, homemade lovelyness
Though...both styles can be played at a psy-chillout room

WORLD MUSIC until the mid 90's had absolutely nothing to do with electronic music. "world music" is the big x-file where you can shove in music from around the world that is traditional and typical to a certain region or culture like for example rajhastani music, klezmer, rai, rocksteady, gypsy music, yodling etc.

AMBIENT music is 80% electronic music. usually beatless, rather creating an ambience or atmosphere than a (melody and/or) rhythm controlled journey.

CHILL-OUT is a fusion between different kinds of styles (ambient, downtempo, electronica, world music etc.) depending on the tastes of the artist in question.

yup
