I just moved with my cousin for some holidays and i took my laptop with live installed and hooked it up to his mackie's. Im pretty annoid since i got so used to mixing on the yamaha's hs80's, the mackie's are showing me a totaly diferent spectrum, i have no idea if its sounds good or not, i seem to be using totaly different levels of equing on the mack's. I uploaded an intro of the current project im working on and i would realy appreciate if you could listen to it on your personal studio monitors and give any kind of feedback, cheers

Bass needs to be a bit louder me thinks. Also needs maybe release or sustain a bit less maybe?           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

In fact the bassline is the main thing i wasnt sure about, on the mackies it sounds loader than it really is, on the yamahas is much more accurate.....did you listen to it on your trusted monitors? hear any overlapping low frequencies by any chance?.

Also i noticed when i increase the volume on the bassline track it seems to be distorting the rest of the sounds, as in the hats percs and closed hats, thats why i kept low volume, and i equed all individual tracks, also filtered the lows of them individualy, but the only thing that made a difference was lowering slightly the volume, for this project i did not use any vst's, just ableton's synths, the bassline in fact i did with operator.

Are these mackies just room speakers? If they are full commercial power I would suggest for you to really crank them up
