pluto, some years ago, i used w2k... honestly, i dont remeber why i stop use it!! But at least, xp works fine with me... some times... 
I think i can find the name of this distro... tomorow in work i think i will find it on my mailbox!

also just installed demudi on my laptop - normally for online works - p2, 300mhz - and it works fine!
i have to learn a completely new system...
but i've got time...;)

btw guys, as a preferation, i dont prefer REDHAT based distros
Debian based run really faster and smoother
Newbies= Knoppix, Kubuntu (its Ubuntu with KDE)
Advanced= Debian
Expert= Gentoo, this OS is a skull, it comes naked, u have to compile all the stuff, from the desktop enviorment to the last driver, 100% manual
@Andreh, mate i could never use XP, it crashes alot, not because its worse or something, its just that the configuration that i make for WINDOWS make my XP unstable, one of them is totaly REMOVING Internet Explorer, XP crashes every second, W2K runs 50% faster  , btw, the reason why u migrated from w2k to wxp might be Cubase SX 3, it doesnt work in W2K PSYKS |

hehehe, another gentoo lover it is great, but be prepared to spend 4 days installing and reinstalling before you get a good install worth using... |

@Plutodelic, hummmmmm did you removed internet explorer, thats interesting!!! My xp is a little tweaked, i remove 90% of the services on it, it works fine, but we always want more and more you know?  And in the time i migrated to xp, cubase 3 was not launched yet!
By the way, you give me a good idea pluto, thankzzz!!

@fregle, hahaha, lover yes, but user, i dont even DARE , have friends that use it, i think that freakin configuration can damage the personality
