You have the same kind of attitude as psytracked (not a good one) and you seem to have joined just after he was banned...

I really don't like your tone. It doesn't make me very interested in contributing to this thread...

So do all producers do the recording and mixing all on their own?have recording engineers and recording assistants been wiped off the face of the earth? Have mix engineers and their assistants also been wiped of the face of the earth...........what may be normal in Psy-trance production is it going to be universal to all other areas of music production?

Quote the line that i wrote that EVERYBODY do tracking and mixing, stop making things up. sooooome do.

sometimes - I - do the tracking and sending it to a different engineer for mixing, sometimes i dont, it all depends.

i track rock and i mix rock, yes ! i do psytrance as well, 2 different things.

and who the hell sad that Psytrance production is universal ? in some ways it is.

most of psytrance artist DO NOT NEED to track anything. (read the last line again carefuly so you wont need to write things off the air again..) some artists do tracking as well but mostly in a different genere like ambient chill etc..

- some do tracking as well of their synth's, ive tried that before with intresting results.

look up on the left side of your screen, what is it saying? "Trance Forum".
dont write on assistance in studio's here, it has nothing to do with Psytrance, have you ever seen before a full grade class A studio made for psytrance with assistants ?

Please.

this was a peaceful place before you bumped into it... (ever since psytracked was banned)..

now it seems we have another psytracked. please dude.. just go leave us alone..

what is wrong with you, were your parents bad to you?

it is annoying to read your negative words man!

please man, your posts are redicules, i dont need an english book, if you cannot understand what im writing - please do not read. im Israeli, not Americam.. and realy i dont give a damm if my english is so so ..

your comments are beased on book reading from what im thinking.. do you actualy own a studio ?

BUT you are right in some ways, that dosent mean that you have to bash everyone here, have a good spirit and try to explain your engineering methods here in posotive ways.

plus, dont judge people which you DONT know. ive read many books in my life, MUCH BETTER then that i have 7 years experiance, 4 in pro studios in NY tracking, mixing & mostly studying audio engineering. - nothing to do with psytrance.

please dont take any pictures from books, do YOU ACTUALY OWN AN NS10 ?

why dont you post some pic's of YOUR STUDIO.
again, dont take any pic's from books, i have many at home that i can look at.

@qwerty

dude,

everybody can easily judge you by the insane amount of posts (with rude behaviour and lotsa bullshit posts, not only but a lot) you made in the last two days..

i mean you push it hard to get a reaction like mine, so even though i am not taking a turn in your technical discussion here, i take myself the freedom to "judge" your kindergarden alike behaviour that is very obvious.. and very annoying for people who want to learn and read here peacefully..

dude, get a life and most important get lost (or try to behave)!

but yeah you are right on some ways?.....which ones?.....come one lets get on topic......we both work professionally so we could contribute much good advice which can still be used at home in budget studios.

as i mentioned, some do tracking only, some do mixing only, some use 1 pair for that couse & some use 3 .. each with his own weird way .

bottom line, what ever works for you .. after all these gear is very expensive for most of us and at the end of the day - we do our best to get the best result with what we got .. right ?

you gave some good advices here and good info as well, becouse in the good old fashioned way things were different, gear/avaliability has changed much, digital age and computers of course .. and that affected alot as well ..

so info on different/pro studios/engineering technics are always welcome .. just try to be in more posotive spirit here, after all that IS what psytrance for me.
and we are in that forum.

so stop bashing and fighting everyone !

Hi people!
I hope im not interfering in somebody's argument.
I Have a qick comentary and question about my monitors!:
I got for my little studio a pair of "Event ASP6 Direct field Monitors",
200W low frequency and 80W high.
My room has a shape of a rectangle, 1.95m wide
& 3.58m long (6.98m2).
Only today after changing their placement in the room i got their real feeling at a medium volume.
I believe i found the right spot to mix, i stood about 2 and half meters from them kind of at the end of the "triangle",
i was amazed by the feeling of the bass in my chest
and the clarity/precision of Mid and Hi Frequencies!
Guys, now tell me please:
Is that what "Direct field" means, that you need to stay at a considerable distance from them to get accurate sound?
Are they adequate for my room?
Hope somebody can make a comentary on this!!
Peace & Light for All
Oh yeah..., please, this is such a nice forum with usefull information and i believe nice people, don't make it in a place to argue... the world has got enough of that!
