Ok i've tried many many times to ''catch'' a good psy melody for my songs.i have made many of the classical goa arrpegiated sounds but i dont need this old school sound ..i wanna program a sound like this..
From 5:43 to 6:49:
its arrpegiator, gate or the playing notes that does the job?i realy love this sound but i dont have any idea how to make something like this..i mean how i will add the notes on the pattern, the RPGator, filters or delays & such things..
sooo your lights are more than needed
thnx m8ts!

write the notes in the piano roll thingy. Just practis and practis, read scales shit like that. Study some nice melodies u like and try to copy it, it takes some time to come up with own good melodies but with hard practis im sure u'll manage to come up with something simular as this aswell.
yeah i agree..to copy the sound you wanna make its realy important for learn to do your own later.
and its not that hard to write such a good melody arrpegiated old school goa..but i get confused with this one because i've try it sooo many times but cant get this ''depth'' of a melody and the tweaking layers compine it

just adjust the grid to the track bpm (for quantization) ...
create an audio track and drop a wave file into there ...
then add a MIDI track and patch it to a lead synth.
this way it's easy to get a melody from a track:
you just have to adjust the midi lead as long as they both play in sync ...

i think in that example it more sounds like 2 leads layered.
WOW i've never imagine something like that..i got ya.playing the melody in sync with the midi and as you tweak the notes and things you'll get close to what you want because you're driven by the melody itself ..coool m8.i'm gonna try it!
finaly imagination is more than needed in working methods
thnx

just put the wanted track in your daw.
check out how much bpm the track is and
choose the same speed in your daw.
loop the lead melody you wand.
and try to layer your miditrack with the
lead.
try around with notes and you will hear
easy, wich note fits.

some bitmap-to-vector conversion project brought me to that idea
... somehow editing graphics and audio is often very close.
always these threads like: *how this lead was made?*
in most cases i bet: not even the artist himself remember how it was exactly made http://www.myspace.com/realtimeproject
