For the first time ever, I have the chance to design my studio from scratch. I'm moving house and get to pick the room where my equipment will be and I can decorate it properly (as opposed to temporary bass traps and absorption).
I have pretty much everything ready to install, but I don't understand the function of the floor.
I've seen a lot of pro studios with wooden floors, I've always had a carpeted room. Which is better? Carpet will offer a bit of high frequency absorption, but perhaps in a detrimental way?
Or, wooden floor with a rug on it - best of both worlds??
Any input appreciated. |
