why not ?? ive done mine last week ,, everything is fine .. its just a bounce of all the updates ,, nothing to worry bout ..

It's essentially a rollup of all previous updates.. so if you've had Windows Update switched on then you've got 99% of SP3 anyway.
I haven't updated anything in 2 years because a) I'm not on the net with my music PC and b) it works fine.
In my experience - NEVER fix what isn't broken (unless it offers essential updates). |

Aside from rollup of patches, there are a handful of new features, almost all dealing with security. The best new feature seems to be black-hole router detection, which seems hardly worth it. Here's the whitepaper:

Some users have reported a performance improvement. I have tried running music on XP, XP SP1, & XP SP2. Each additional SP slowed it down, and I expect that same from SP3. For a machine with networking disabled, I think XP SP1 is a very viable option still, since it runs spritely
