I'm a windows user but would like for mac users to have access to my plugins, so I was investigating and aparentley it is already possible to use win VST on Macs.

Check it out: http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/34640/vfx

If you're a mac user let me know if it works will ya?

hm..wine ports are out there for some time now, not for vsts tho but for games and other programs..dont know, but usually it will give you less perfomance compared to win and even maybe stability issues..

i think i already tried that long time ago and it was kind of annoying to go through soundflour etc, but maybe i didn`t put enough effort in that..

Wine has gone a long way now, but mostly in the gaming section.. WOW actually works faster in Linux with wine then natively in Win.

I've got Ableton live 8 working in wine (with Linux) with working Windows VST's (although the whole audio recording feature didn't work, so no audio recording) and it was terribly slower.

However, if someone has a Mac, doesn't want to put windows in it or doesn't want to reboot, and really want to process something with windows VST's (like dblue) then I suppose this could be a quick non reliable workaround.           Super Banana Sauce http://www.soundcloud.com/knocz
