Cubase 4 is unofficially working...
most of the audio companies didn't update their drivers so far.
no reason to change at this time.

The only DAW that is fully Vista compatible and uses the new Vista audio enhancements is Sonar 6.2.

As subconsciousmind mentions, you will have to wait for Vista drivers for most soundcards.

great link undertow. for the first time I could read black on white, that a DAW company can profit from the new vista..
Before that all I heard were more or less unconfirmed statements, that vista can bring improvments for audio.
Good to know...

from what i have read, as far as a DAW goes isnt Vista almost going to be a set back? There doesnt seem to be any advantage from what i can see besides being a huge resource hog. |

i just read the article...like i said i just dont get what is impressive about that.
i mean dont you already have a low latency system that doesnt glich? if you have that, i imagine the biggest difference is that vista is going to use a ton more memory. |

dont use vista. takes to much ram and cpu power, run a "cut down" xp edition instead. more power for music |
