Windows 7 and cubase 4 ?

Hello isratrancers.I am going to buy new laptop LENOVO IdeaPad Y560.Laptop comes with Windows 7 Home Premium.My old notebook runs with win xp, cubase 4 and echo audiofire2 sound card and it runs ok.But i dont know if it will be runnig so smoothly on Win 7.If anyone has experience with this platform, please let me know. Thanks

My laptop still runs Vista and I have no problems with C4, so I imagine on Win 7 it would also run just fine.

Is your new laptop running 32 bit or 64 bit version of windows 7?
And does it have a firewire socket? It's quite rare on new laptops. |

Hello Mike A notebook comes wit 64 bit version of Win7 Home Premium.It Doesnt have firewire but it does have 1x34mm ExpressCard slot.I allready have expresscard with two firewire slots so it should work.

I wouldn't trust an expresscard with firewire outputs. But if it works for you, goodie

Hello guys so i bought notebook and after two weeks i have to say i am very happy with win 7.I have also upgrated to Cubase 5.Everything is working great exept vst instruments like Sylenth 1 and hypersonic2.Same with some vst effects.I ve install them correctly but they just doesnt show up in Cubase.Does anyone have the same problem?I really like to use Sylenth1 cos its one of my favourite synths....Can someone help me? |

Install the 32 bit version of cubase and you should have no problems. I have 32bit C5.5 on win 7 64bit and all of my vst's run smoothly. Sylenth is one of them btw |
