hey
i have a major problem suddenly
my pc freezes every off and then ..... faster and faster :S
cant save no data im workin on , now acces my mouse , nor the task manager nothing
was working perfectly all these days ... today i installed another verion of a sequencer and this started ... may be its coincidence ... but yet i removed all the files i had installed and the problem yet persists
anyone faced similar problems or have a cure
will be very greatfull .... i really dont want to reformat my pc

Hmmmm.... hi Bad Sector have you try to go in provvisory modality?...if not....
SOLUTION 1
press the F8 key on starting on the pc after the scan for pheripherials or press F8 continuosly from turn on until you see the list of modalitiies:-)(sorry for bad terms) and then choose "start windows in temporary mode" in the list, go in and if work, save your data first in other location! you can move/copy that data in other disk or try with USB pendrive or external drive, then after saved your data, try to go in desktop properties then video tab then advanced.., next go to problems resolution tab and turn down "1 step" the "hardware accelleration" and then ok, de-install some new applications or drivers, try to scan for viruses if there are for you(if this pc is connected on internet) after saved data you see same problems, man, unique way is to reinstall windows and in other location(c:windows2 for example and delete old bad folder of windows normally c:windows) or disk WHITHOUT FORMAT ANYTHING AND WHITHOUT LOOSE ANY DATA on this disk!
SOLUTION 2
if after press F8 and windows boot in temporary mode but nothing happen, is a too hard problem, you have to buy another blank disk or use an old disk for reinstall windows, or you can install as second copy in same disk in folder named "windows2" WHITHOUT FORMAT ANYTHING IN SETUP OF NEW COPY OF WINDOWS(in windows2 path),if you choose to install in new or old second disk, you have to disconnect the main disk from hardware and connect as SECOND DISK in SECOND SLOT, but there is a litlle thing you have to do, JUMPERS exchange to the disks, in the rear of the disconnected MAIN disk there is a JUMPER and a JUMPER SCHEME that show you the positions for make this disk as MASTER or SLAVE(primary or secondary,i hope you know what i mean) is normally a little white or blue component that bridge 2 electric points vertically, you have to change the position of this JUMPER from MASTER to SLAVE in your important data disk and SLAVE to MASTER on the new blank or old disk where new copy of windows goes on, if you don't do this you cannot see the old disk as second disk, after this incredible passes you have to install from zero a new copy of windows to the NEW MAIN DISK old or new no problem ,and after all ok, you see the main disk fully workin and you see the second as SLAVE(normally D: letter) enter in the disk and recover your data!! and after ....sorry man but for your problem for me this 2 solutions are the most common....

before even thinking about a reinstall, check the temp of your components... you might got an overheating cpu

thanks sismic i will try what you have mentioned 
@sideFXed - the pc isnt over heating 
also now when i try and boot it i get some new fuckup .... press any key to continue ...... insert floppy drive ..... empty ... press any key to contiue
baaah ...... im sick of windows

Get MAC brother it has no such fuck ups and you will get very good quality of your production.
i'm not saying Windows is Bad.it's good afterall the quality depends on the production if it's good all good  but i dunno i found Mac better in many other ways also.......
even i'm using windows only........ and know haw windows can actually make you crazy sometimes....

and about mac or pc , it is just my view that i find mac better

@trip on acid - i have a mac (macbookpro) to ... need to get my hands on logic but before that i need the $$ to buy it hehehe
lets c i might boot windows on the mac and give it a shot to
but i need a cure for this desktop to
can it be some adware or spyware ?
cause my virus scan says clean
