i just bought the presonus firebox sound card , and i'm going to work with bm6a monitors.it's a cheap sound card compared to RME Motu etc but good enough as far as i'm concerned.what do you guys think?i'm not gonna use it for recording stuff, maybe a mic or a synth in the future but for now it's only for vst's. |

If your using a mac, I would spend my money on an Apogee ONE. Its cheaper than a firebox and in my opinion, I use to have one, and it has very low grade converters and preamps. Apogee has amazing preamps and A/D converters. There isn't much of a point in spending that much money on BM6A's and buying such a low grade interface. Again, these are just my opinions. |

Not from my experience. I think its cheese... I also own a Fireface 400 and I'm obviously comparing it to that. |

i got the fireface as well..but you cannot compare it imo..
fireface like 900€ and firebox like 300€
apogee uno is just for traveling..the firebox is good enough to do some decent work on..its the usual quality you get for 300€..same with audiofire 4..so for the amount of I/O`s the firebox provides its a very good interface imo..
dont get me wrong, i dont want to argue with you, its just experience.. -------......-------...-..-..-..-.-.-.-.- |
