Has anyone tried experiments with this?

Apparently it involves linking a Wiimote to your PC using Bluetooth, and using third-party software to convert the information to MIDI signals. Apparently you can also use it as a mouse to control clip triggering and more.

Looks intriguing!

After thinking about this a bit more, for what it's worth, it doesn't have to be used only in a "live" setting. It seems like creative MIDI routing to the device could lead for some really interesting automation data that could yield patterns hard to achieve elsewhere, as well as interesting, organic FX modulations, in the studio.

As far as "live" goes, I think it would be more interesting to access things in my project (such as navigating Session Mode and triggering clips) this way rather than with a mouse.

And then, of course, you can hack it! I wonder what kinds of results you could get by removing the motion sensors from the devide and attaching them to your fingertips

At any rate, for a roughly 50 euro investment, it seems like it could be a fun, cheap toy.

I've seen Onkel Dunkel do the same as well... I kinda want one too so I no longer have to use a mouse.           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

It´s all down to how you envision using it, seems like a case of imagination running short really. I for one welcome any and all means of keeping the number of wires in my live setup down (and love that i dont carry a keyboard around anymore hooray) as soon as somebody comes up with something proper for the iphone/ipod circus i will be onto that as well death to midi keyboards!!!
A wiimote makes for the most expressive control of parameters in my TI i have ever had. 3 axis sensor system and a wealth of programmable buttons ( a bit miffed about the analog stick on the nunchuck only supporting OSC and not midi)
I am now wondering if i could have some fun with the space navigator thingie too. sooo many ways of interfacing now it´s finally fun. (and somewhat cheap) for more freedom an arduino board would be a fun project too hmmmm so little time.           Mastering available here:
