this guy figured out how to use the nintendo wii remote as a drum stick to trigger sounds.. i think its pretty impressive and could be useful for psy for expression and such

it also gave me an idea.. what if you could use the wii remotes motion sensor as a midi controller? so you could control X,Y coords by moving the remote around in space..

just some food for thought

@psylevation: actually you can buy the Wii Remote separately for only $85

i'm going to wait a bit and see what comes from the home brew developers.. may end up getting one just to screw around.

on another note, any fellow programmers here? maybe we can come up with an idea or concept to put this into action..

Oooh, Theremin! Now thats the only good idea anyones had for the wii controller. Drums and anything else would be totally pointless.

the game machine comes with a second one that plugs into it...
(benifits of girlfriends mom working for EA)

so if you bought the machine, it would come with 2 sticks... (left and right hand)
(boxing game is pretty cool, btw... lol...)

would be wicked for some hats!!!!!

dug a bit deeper last night...
there some software to make the ds a midi controller using the pen...
http://musicthing.blogspot.com/2006/11/nintendo-ds-hacked-into-cool-wireless.html

guess a hand held kaoss pad...
wouldn't be my thing, but if anyone is interested...

it's bluetooth!!!!
hope someone comes out with the midi software...

hmmm....
cubase midi in...
wii handheld (emulated)

hope I don't have to do it myself...
(I sense 3 days locked in my studio, googling how to blah blah...)

smiles.
