why wallpapers and screensavers?

i have been reading so many posts and viewing soo many sites for wallpapers nd screensavers - but was wondering tht why do ppl need psy wallpapers nd screeners? is it the same reason or individually different?
i use it mainly for work feel good - while working on my comp if i have a good wallpaper it keeps me intrstd in my work and ofcourse i need to change them every week.
why do u use it?

I believe a lot of screensavers are being used (together with winamp plugins) for amaturistic projections at small parties...
windows background mostly for adding a personal touch to ones working environment? same reason people put wallpapers on their walls no?
